A Letter Of Blessing, Appreciation, and Evaluation

Pages from your precious and important sefer (religious book) was brought before me, the pamphlet about (contemporary) hilchoth (Jewish Orthodox laws) Medicine. This pamphlet was written and edited by our dear and learned Rabbi David Shure, shelita. The purpose of witting this book with their pamphlets about halacoth that deal with modern technology, medicine, and modern life styles, is to meticulously explain this difficult and complicated subject matter, and problems found in the Talmud and in its commentaries. From the little that I studied this precious book I was very satisfied and pleased with it. It is a masterly work of the subjects. It is evident from this work that the author put in much effort and diligence in order to write it, blessed be his share and lot. The human himself cannot understand the the Torah. Understanding of the Torah is given to someone who sincerely studies it with all his strength. This is what is meant by the saying, “if you toil and labor in Torah studies you will find the Torah as one finds a lost treasure.
Those who study your sefer will be able to understand it and gain knowledge. The subject matter is clarified and discussed in a clear and logical manner. Another important fact is that it was written so that one understands it the way the author wants it understood, in order that many may benefit from the work. May the merit of his Torah learning help him complete many more important works with health and repose. He should merit that his Torah wisdom shall be accepted by the authorities. This book should strengthen the public in Torah learning, and clarification of the halacha, and may he be successful in all his ways.

P.S. I enclosed my responsa on subject matter that you discuss in your sefer, about how far must one go, or how far may one go, to save another life.
